Oceania was certainly different than all the other cruise lines we’ve been on!  The food was definitely better.  The specialty dining rooms were fabulous and with no up-charge as in other lines

The accommodations were good.  Beds were fantastic. The crew was gracious. The biggest difference is how low-key they were with marketing which was ok for us. No cruise photography chasing you everywhere.  No art auctions being pushed, no constant “sales!”

Entertainment wasn’t great.  I know part of this has to do with being a much smaller ship. Not much to do after dinner. (What are the odds we’d get the same comedian we had on British Isles cruise doing the SAME routine!)

We had 3 1/2 days at sea, much too much in 7-day cruise.  Last port was canceled due to water conditions, so that added to 2 that were scheduled.  There were not many activities to pass the time besides being in the pool.

All in all, we liked Oceania.  The itinerary and our Cuban disappointment were the issues

Hi Elena,

We had a wonderful time!! We didn’t want to return home. We enjoyed the excursions. We took advantage of horseback riding, ATVs, and zip-lining. I have to say the ATVs are the best we’ve ever done. This was our first-time zip lining and it was truly exhilarating. I later read the best place to do that is in Costa Rica. The hotel was great. I only experienced a few issues. Mainly dinner time has a cutoff at 8:30 at all except a buffet. We usually don’t go to dinner until around that time and this is the first place we’ve stayed at where there was such an early cutoff. Our party couldn’t be seated at any restaurant without all the members being present before they start preparing the table. If the hotel was at max capacity, I could see more issues with funneling over around 1k people at the same time for dinner.

There were no outdoor snack options outside compared to other resorts. There is no outdoor 24-hour bar outdoors either. It seems like the whole hotel shuts down at a certain time. We hung out one night in the indoor 24-hour snack spot and when we decided to go back to our room a little past 12:00 and when we walked out the whole hotel was dark. There was no one in the lobby, everything was completely closed. This was just strange.

There was a problem for the guys to get more food if they were not able to get full from one entree. The restaurant that did allow it, the entree had to be eaten first before ordering another side order and some didn’t allow any additional at all.

I enjoyed the stay but when I go back I’d like to experience another resort.

Overall, we still had a great time. The resort is updated, beds were comfy. The grounds were will manicured and beautiful.

Thanks for all of your help,

Hi Elena,

My husband and I had fun just the two of us. It was so relaxing and stress-free. We did what we wanted and didn’t have to worry about the family’s daily schedule of things. Lol, The resort was really nice. We told them we were celebrating our recent anniversary so we received a free upgrade and had a great view. We really enjoyed the food/drinks and loved the pool. We walked along the beach one afternoon and visited another Riu and had lunch there. It was really nice but we preferred our resort (pool, food, entertainment). We went on 2 excursions while there. We did Zip lining, ATV, Cenote and night excursion Xoximilco. We enjoyed both. We missed our girls but didn’t want to go back home just yet. Lol, My husband actually said we should have booked one more day. Lol, But everything was awesome from transportation to the resort staff, room. The only thing coming home, our flight was delayed almost 4 hours so that was a bummer. We were supposed to leave at 5:30 pm but didn’t leave until a little after 9 pm. So we arrived in Houston late. But it turned out ok because my husband and I got a hotel room in Houston and had one more vacation night. Lol So we actually made it home Wednesday afternoon :) We will definitely sneak in another adult-only trip again. But I know my family is already talking about Jamaica trip for next summer. Everybody’s ready to go now. Lol

Anyway, Thank you sooo much for everything. We had a Blast!!!

Hi Elena, I’m doing great thank you. It was a wonderful trip. I loved everything about the resort. The people, the staff, the food, the entertainment, everything about it was wonderful. One morning I came out on to the patio to have coffee and enjoy the view and found a monkey just sitting there staring at the trees with me :) that was relaxing. The first day we were there the seaweed was so bad we couldn’t go to the beach but the pool made up for it. Every day after that the beach was beautiful. Michael loved all the animals there but was too afraid to go near. We loved the excursions to Cancun. I believe it was the highlight of our trip. The boat took us to Isla Mujeres and my god that island was gorgeous. Thank you, Elena, for everything. Amstar was excellent as well. We will def book another trip next summer. Next time you come in I will show pictures. Have a great evening!

We had the best time. Food was excellent, the people so nice. The place was spotless. Tony caught his marlin and I did my parasail. Joined the Riu Club because maybe next year Costa Rica or Panama. Would stay at that place and recommend it to everyone. Thank you for helping us get a great vacation. Dawn

Hi Elena,

I wanted to thank you for helping set up our trip to Northern Ireland. It was the best vacation we’ve ever been on!  You can guarantee we will be contacting you for our next trip! We’re hoping to go to Colorado in June 2020 and back to Ireland in 2021. .....

Thank you again!

Hi Elena,

We had the most wonderful, once in a lifetime experience in Israel! Everything went very well and we loved our guide Danny.  The tour operator in Israel was great. We loved the assistance in and out of the airport. Next time we take a trip we will check with you.

Many Thanks,

Cathi and Craig

I am letting you know we had a fun time in Cancun.  Thanks for helping us pick our vacation.  It was a great idea upgrading to the Pyramid at the Grand Oasis as we were able to explore every restaurant and bar.

Thanks again and we hope to see you and plan our next vacation.

Amador and Yolanda

We did enjoy the Celebrity Silhouette and this class of ship is much better than their older ones. The food and cabins are much better and we don't have to fight for a lounge chair at the pool!

Best Regards for your Good Service,

Hi Elena,

Thank you for reaching out!  We had a wonderful time. Very relaxing!  Hyatt Zilara and Live Aqua rank about equal in our mind.  Live Aqua wins hands down in the food category.  Hyatt Zilara wins in the entertainment category by a long shot. Service was impeccable at the Hyatt with the friendliest staff I've encountered in Mexico.  Our room at the Hyatt Zilara was spacious, clean, comfortable, and nice.  The ceiling fan was a major plus in my book.  They also had a brand new spa and I had a wonderful massage.

Sam and I would like to thank you for planning another fabulous trip for us.  We are already looking forward to the next one!

The resort was a beautiful, lush tropical place with numerous pools but no real access to beach water because of crocodiles.  The Dreams Las Mareas Resort is very secluded and about one hour and twenty minutes from anything.  Guys did fishing on Tuesday while the ladies went to the spa.  On Wednesday we did an excursion with a Horseback Ride to top of the mountain, then zip-lined, waterslide, mud bath, hot springs, and then lunch.  All the restaurants at Dreams had great food.  Think Caribbean side would have been better than Pacific side.  But it was a good trip.

Thanks for all your help.

It was great! We arrived Friday afternoon in NYC.  We went to eat and walk around and got back to the hotel about 5pm and then went to Rockefeller Center, walked to Times Square and it begin to snow!  We saw the Empire State building. It was a perfect memorable experience.  We had tickets to see the Christmas show at Radio City Music Hall at 10pm. We woke up on Saturday and rode the subway to Ground Zero-it was amazing. We rode the ferry to Staten Island to see the Statue of Liberty and rode the subway to Central Park. We got an Uber to drive us to Grand Central and we roamed around.  We visited Bryant Park and had another amazing night.  We roamed the city early the next day before heading to the airport.

It was great!

The trip was wonderful! Everything turned out exactly as we planned.  The guide in Jordan was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable. He made suggestions (which we followed) but allowed us to have input into the itinerary which we appreciated. The Petra Guest House was fine and the location was excellent. We opted not to include lunch and that worked well for us. We walked for 7 hours. When the guide picked us up he met us with a cheese pizza. Never tasted so good! Eilat was a nice stopover. Too cold for the water but we took a trip to Timna Park and spent some time at the pool.  We had a chance to visit relatives in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. They are warm gracious people and added much to our stay.

Thanks for all your help in planning this trip.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We had such a wonderful time in Grand Cayman.  The London House was exactly what I was hoping it would be.  The beach was not crowded and it was easy to go back and forth between the beach and the condo. We paddle boarded, snorkeled, drove wave runners, and went to Stingray City twice.  The Blow Holes, Botanical Gardens, Turtle Farm and more-we disconnected from our devices and spent some quality family time together.  By the way, the Westin has been and is being renovated and it is GORGEOUS.  We had breakfast there on two separate mornings and explored a bit. Our car was not fab, but we really didn't care.  We laughed about it of course and laughed at John trying to drive from the right hand side of the car in the left lane.  Every time he tried to signal he turned on the windshield wipers!

The weather was perfect!  Thank you for all your help and recommendations.

Hi Elena! Oh my goodness the entire trip was amazing. Our expectations were exceeded by far. There was no rain with the exception of a very brief shower early Saturday morning but other than that, beautiful weather! [...] The food was very good, the rooms were immaculate and very clean. Everyone was very happy with the resort and complimented the choice. We are so happy with the wedding and the pre-wedding activities, they were so organized. Thank you so much for helping us to make this all happen!

Hi Elena,

The Celebrity cruise was very nice.  We saw a lot of wildlife and had great times on the excursions.  R. really enjoyed the snorkeling.  I was a little less adventurous with the snorkeling, but did enjoy myself.  The zodiacs were great fun.  And as with most trips some of the Naturalist were much better than others, but we had a good mix of good Naturalist.  All in all I would say that after the rocky start, the delayed flight with no information, the cruise went well.  I was less enamored with the city tour the day before the trip.  It was pretty lame and the restaurants that they took us too were just OK.  But the pre-cruise was not what we went for.  The Cruise itself was great.

The Peru trip was exhausting.  I loved going to Machu Picchu and seeing the other ruins in the Sacred Valley.  But it was really a very hard trip with all of the hotel changes and different guides.  And of course the altitude meds kept me slightly goofy, so that just complicated things.  All the hand offs between the guides went well, it was just all so confusing (or was that the meds).  The only suggestion that I would make is not to use the Aranwa Boutique Hotel.  It is very tired and really needs to be updated.  The JW Marriots were wonderful, the Aranwa Sacred Valley was nice and the Sumaq was nice, good location.  Condor travel did a very nice job, the Hiram Bingham train was a lot of fun and some of the best food we ate was on the train.

All in all, I would have to say that it was a great trip.  I don't think that I would recommend doing both in one trip for most people.  It is just too exhausting.  But I'm glad that we did it and we loved it.

Thank you for all of your support getting things put together for this trip.  We could not have done it without you.

First I want to say we felt you did an excellent job! All the arrangements you made went smoothly and it was a very enjoyable trip.  You were always responsive to our many questions.

The room location was great.  The six of us could just open our doors and be ready to set off together.

The Celebrity staff was excellent.  From our airport pick up to our airport return, they were very organized and efficient with use of our time. The boat is spotlessly maintained. And it's incredibly stable. ( I'm very prone to motion sickness and have gotten sick on several cruises, but this one is so smooth)

We did two shore excursions through Celebrity, one through Rick Steves and the Distinctive Voyages trip you gave us.  All went well.   DV put on a lovely cocktail party for us and their local guide in Athens was wonderful.  She taught us so much.

You booked our reservations for one of the specialty restaurants.  Great evening.  We had a large elegant wine room all to ourselves (6 of us). Food and service superb.

The food in general was not as good as we'd remembered from a previous Celebrity cruise.  Plenty of creative variety but not always fabulous.  Huge variety in the big buffet room but some of it looked better than it tasted.  But we are pretty particular!

The variety of ports was good, the stops are long enough in most cases.

We will be happy to use your service again in the future!

Hi Elena,

Everything was wonderful and exquisite. I was really impressed with the hotel. The food was great. Service was one of the best I've experienced. The entertainment was okay but we did a lot of excursions so we were really busy. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you for the nice fruit trays you sent to our rooms. They came in handy on those late nights.

I did find the documents. Somehow I put them in my trash and I was panicking at the last minute, but all went well.

Thank you for everything!

Hi Elena,

Live Aqua and Mexico was once again fabulous!!! The weather was perfect. Sunny everyday with no rain. And surprisingly, not too humid for a tropical spot.

I completed the hotel survey already, making sure to highlight employees who went above and beyond...because there were a couple. :)

S. and I decided to upgrade to an ocean view room upon arrival. They gave us a discount since we were repeat guests. I thought that was a nice touch to show they value their customers.

We ate, drank, enjoyed the pools A LOT, and A. and I had a morning at the Spa. My massage was amazing. I truly felt like a new person at school today.

Thank you for planning another wonderful getaway for us. Already dreaming about and looking forward to the next one!m
